Must admit this trend spooks me a bit. As a European a US lead world order was always a case of kinda being dragged along. Lagging but still vaguely in the same vicinity. Same for other countries - US being largely accessible in a if you have money you can play sense.

China has massive barriers. Social, political, economic, GFW, language, nationalistic etc. That could really diverge in a way the world has not seen before.

Definitely suspicion of upcoming FOMO.

... in our lifetimes.

There have been times in the past that the world was split up into spheres of influence or colonies.

One of the sharper PRC writers, great yearly essays when he was on the ground. Unfortunately still (seemingly) retardedly liberal pilled form latest Chinatalk interview (TBH just like Jordan). Humorless engineering governance can't beat very funny US governance is... certainly a take.

But how are you gonna foresee the total annihilation of the Chinese semi industry without Jordan the necromancer interpreting party documents for you?

TBH Jordan paid his dues in PRC, did great interviews with interesting people. But TFW he is still... literally brain injury / damaged and now in Washington and seems to be doing more policy/analysis work.
