I am not so optimistic. The overall need this post describes will still exist. However the whole release cycle will be condensed severely. Coding takes the most time in a software cycle and if that is essentially zero now, we expect large scale projects (by today’s standards) to be released in days.
More importantly the number of people needed could be cut drastically. A hundred person project could may be done by a handful of architects who write code by themselves.
I can see a director level org (100 people) to shrink to a regular EM role with 10 people. The rest of the company may not be impacted that much.
