The author of this article appears to be a bit on the "unhinged" side. The search engine they're looking for is not one that provides good results for the user, but one that falls in line with their biases and worldviews.

For the Brave Search they write "The censorship is exactly like Google's - meaning you will never find the truth about the moon landing or COVID vaccines there even if the query asks for exactly that. What you will find - though - is a bunch of irrelevant "fact check" or "science loving" sites, or ones shitting on "conspiracy theorists". [...] But everyone can easily verify the censorship for themselves, with a query such as "9 / 11 was done by the government". And just with that, this brainwashing facility pretending to be a search engine should be trashed."

So the problem is not with the search engine itself, but that the results they find do not fall in line with whatever route of confirmation bias they hold. They're experiencing a severe cognitive dissonance that has come after going down rabbit holes of deep, deep falsehoods they've now come to believe.

If I believed the earth was flat, and I opened Google Earth to find it shows me a round globe, it's not Google's fault for showing me that.
