This article was not at all convincing for me. There have got to be better arguments against assisted death. OTOH, I was much more convinced by Terry Pratchett's thought [1] that as his Alzheimer's progressed, he wanted the option of ending his own life.

I thought the author's point about how the rhetoric in favour of assisted suicide is being put forward was interesting.

Instead of being debated in an honest, thoughtful and measured way, it's being marketed with propaganda-like emotional appeals, which makes it harder for people to see the ethical implications clearly. All of this being done with the aim of affecting public opinion and changing policy.
