Watch this pod save America interview if you want to hear directly from the folks in California fighting to reduce the amount of housing built.

lol when anti-housers consider 6 storeys a “tower”

In my experience these people will call anything with a flat roof or anything taller than 35’ a “tower”

Some people cannot imagine the world getting better, so they're devoted to making the world stand still.

Just like we see with the Trump injunctions, the state and judges always had legal authority. HCD could refuse certification, the AG could sue, courts could issue writs of mandate.

AG Kamala Harris didn't do a thing. She refused to enforce the law. Just like Gov. Jerry Brown's HCD refused to enforce the law. Post-2017 changes have merely made it clearer in statute, but the root cause always was, and will remain, the same people.

Since the supposed major changes, since 2017, there's been a grand total of what FIVE enforcement actions, so what about 1 every year and a half or two years. Not a single one has met even a fraction of the housing requirements AFTER enforcement.

YOU'RE BEING LIED TO. Not a thing has changed. This is propaganda.
