And the contents of the article talking about AI being the final nail in the coffin of coding bootcamps that where already disappearing.

In retrospect, you're right. Though I quoted an exact quote from the article. Bootcamps prepare for entry level placements and it reports on how placements were 83% prior to GPT and 37% to first year post GPT. That backs up the "collapse" claim. However, "collapse" does suggest long-term instability which I agree is not justified, yet.

I can already see 3-5 years in the future where companies will figure out that no software entry level jobs, means no seniors on the market as well. No seniors means nobody can babysit their AI tools which will be still unable to work correctly without human in the loop.
