I guess it depends on the person but for many corporate folks "I took this job so I don't have to bag groceries..." would be a thought.

Amazon's actions lead me to believe they are having labor sourcing challenges, based on publicly available labor data. Amazon corp folks will put up with it as long as they want or need the job.
