I like Bert and I like his hard truths. You don't get out of the hole you dug by whining. Either European economies pay up and build out, or they're stuck behind least cost solutions.
Bert isn't saying you can't have a viable European data warehouse, he's saying it's bloody hard work and expensive.
At least with helm charts in principle the pods pick up and move. Having one click vendors and 5 nines reliable backends.. that's a big hole of money.
