No one is losing their job. Artificial Intelligence is an abstraction of intelligence, not a thinking or living entity. It operates under the same principle as the halting problem. In simple terms: how would AI know when to start or finish a task unless it’s explicitly triggered?

If this is the basis of how computers work, and AI is just an extension of that, then its role today is to handle tasks that start and stop with a trigger. Humans will focus on continuous, non-triggered activities like urban development, discovery, and creation.

While it’s true that many jobs will be replaced by AI, it’s because those jobs were repetitive and arguably not meant for humans in the first place. At a higher level, GPT is just an automation that spans multiple categories. Ask yourself: what are you able to do now with GPT that you couldn’t before, if time wasn’t a factor?

If GPT actually acted on its own, OpenAI would be working on true AGI, not just an advanced tool for handling language and information. In the end, they followed the standard entrepreneurship playbook: build a product and make sure it generates revenue.
