Over the past few years, I've gotten way more into reading. And I loved how the Kobo e-reader really solidified that habit. It helped me to become "a person that reads".

To get more out of my reading experience, I started hacking on my own Kobo to read articles from blogs, reddit, add screensavers, AI integrations, read any file and many more.

And now that Pocket is closing shop, I transformed this into a tool so others can easily read web-content as well: The Kobuddy companion app: https://kobuddy.app.

Kobuddy v1 just syncs web articles to your device, but there are many more features coming!

- Upload, convert, and sync any file to your Kobo - Automated, nicely formatted downloads from your favorite blogs, news sites, Reddit, and Twitter (RSS subscriptions) - A Chrome extension (like Pocket) to capture articles (even behind paywalls) and send it to your Kobo - Add screensavers - AI features to explain or visualize selected text - Your own 'send-to' email address - Sync annotations with Kobuddy

Feedback is always welcome! Try Kobuddy, see how it works and let me know what you think!
