This is turning into a boring refrain. "Person who has a vested interest in AI taking over says that AI is taking over."

Using YC companies as vibe-coding examples is hardly a good example. You absolutely can vibe code a demo to get to your next funding round. That doesn't mean you can use that same code to keep customers happy with a stable product.

Latest Claude LLM writes passable drafts of product documentation, such as tutorials, so I expect similar impact for technical writers. In my tests, the code samples all worked on the first prompt. Verifying code samples is much faster than writing them, but that was my favorite part of the career.

So companies will no longer need to buy software either, since they can easily create their own. Ultimately the only moat will be labour, bricks and mortar.
