This reads a little differently from outside the US.
For example, the US has used its capture of the banks to ensure that some Chinese cannot get a bank account in China. I know why and it wasn't without reason, but really, sauce for the goose.
If you want the right to be angry at some behaviour, don't engage in similar behaviour.
