I grew up going to a religious school, it wasn't really that different from a regular school. The concerns / focus that folks on the religious right in the US had almost no bearing on school life. The focus of day to day life was local, at the school, not national.

Since then a few fellow classmates have gone down the "anti porn" rabbit hole. Their social media posts are part every day family stuff, part anti porn advocacy. The posts are sometimes "normal" advocacy type posts, others are apocalyptic and angry / hateful. There's always a "we" vibe to these posts too, about them and their spouse as a couple.

The most shocking thing is that as far as I can tell, these couples have had no contact with the porn industry, no friends or family with any contact. No really first hand experience that I know of (presumably they've seen porn at some point) ... and yet a chunk of their social media time and presumably emotions and energy are dedicated to that topic.

It's inexplicable...

There's basically zero chance of this passing, and if it did, the supreme court would tear it to shreds for obviously violating the 1st amendment. Mike is just posturing. The smarter prudes are counting on the various age verification bills to de facto ban pornography.

Well of course that's only a symptom. The real problem is people having sex for pleasure instead of procreation. The only legal sex should be hetero, christian, with a spouse, missionary position, with as little flesh exposed as possible.
