I’ve briefly intersected with Adam, admittedly over a decade ago now. I really enjoyed those opportunities and found him to be a great and professional person.

This site just reeks of a misinformed person with an axe to grind. A quarter of Mozilla being laid off? I’d be shocked if a restructure of that size wasn’t already well underway in terms of planning before he joined. That’s not the kind of click your fingers and make it happen decision someone makes in their first month. Unless things were particularly dire financially and urgent action had to be taken, in which case you still can’t exactly blame a new hire for inheriting that such a mess.

And HoneyCode? A project that was literally many years in the making with a semi-secret team of people at AWS long before Adam arrived? Yeah, definitely the fault of the new guy who arrived as it launched for it not working. Not the dozens/hundreds of people responsible for the years of research, design, and product work.

And AWS are apparently pushing Firefox onto people?

What an odd personal vendetta.

I’m not sharing this because I agree with it. I don’t know Adam personally. I wanted start a conversation about the ethics of calling someone out publicly without offering them a chance to respond or defend themselves.
