Ask HN: Has Google given up on email?

It's been weeks now that I'm getting SPAM from google.com/googlemail.com.

Somehow they can email $myusername@google.com or $myusername@googlemail.com and their mail daemon replies back to my actual gmail.com with the spammer's email content. Because these emails originate from Google's own servers, they bypass spam filters and land directly in my inbox every time.
