At this point, these “fat activists” are pretty much exposing themselves as exactly what people said about them early in this movement: these are people who are supporting unhealthy lifestyles, are too unmotivated to address their issues, want social praise for being unhealthy so they don’t have to change, and are bitter and envious of those who are healthy, and now, of people who WANT to make changes and be healthy.
I’ve been seeing many ugly snipes on certain parts of social media, where fat activists are accusing or alleging that someone (like a celebrity or a friend or family member) is using Ozempic or that they have an “Ozempic face”. It’s exactly the type of judgmental personal attack that they were supposed to be fighting against, which is a part of their activism people can agree with. But I guess the mask is off now.
With no attempt to make quantify how many Fat Activists there are, we don't know if this is culturally meaningful or just fringe news.
100, 1000 activists, or more? How many are activists and how many just lightly hold this opinion when asked? This can be just be handful of influences doing it for money. Weird opinions sell.
