I just launched Stockitize, a tool I built to help investors better understand and reduce portfolio risk through AI-powered analysis.
The Problem: Most retail investors struggle with portfolio diversification and risk assessment. Traditional tools are either too complex for beginners or too simplistic for serious research. People often realize they're overexposed to certain sectors or correlated assets only after market downturns.
What Stockitize Does:
Analyzes your portfolio to identify concentration risks and correlation patterns
Provides actionable advice on how to rebalance and reduce overall risk
Features an AI chatbot trained on financial data to accelerate investment research
Offers deeper analysis tools for users who want to dig into the specifics
Why I Built This: After seeing friends lose significant money during market volatility due to poor diversification, I wanted to create something that makes sophisticated risk analysis accessible to everyone, not just institutional investors.
The AI component was particularly interesting to implement – training it to provide nuanced financial advice while maintaining appropriate disclaimers and avoiding overly prescriptive recommendations.
Current Status: Fully functional and ready for users. I'm looking for feedback from the community, especially from anyone working in fintech or with experience in portfolio management.
