"long shifts, low pay, and unequal treatment" are simply the norm in Taiwan. And Taiwan workers are promised huge payoffs if they persist. Not my cup of tea but a fortune-maker for many Taiwanese who have persisted.

The work ethic in Taiwan is much more difficult than in the USA.
