Have you ever used body wash to wash your hair—or shampoo as a body cleanser—just to save time? While they might seem similar, shampoo and body wash are formulated differently. Using the wrong product can lead to dry skin, frizzy hair, and irritation. Let’s break down the differences based on ingredients, purpose, and why you shouldn’t mix them up.

I used a bar of Ivory soap as hair wash and body wash for many years. I do not have dandruff, I don't have any body odor and I don't wear deodorant, I do not have dry or irritated skin and I can not think of a single issue. I am leaning towards the belief that sure what you use may have some effect but for the most part it is just based on genetics and that some people are more scaly or prone to skin irritation and so on.
