Show HN: RedactMyPDF.com - AI-assisted PDF redaction with human review

Hi HN,

I built RedactMyPDF.com after struggling to manually redact a large legal PDF, and I found that existing tools were either expensive or clunky.

RedactMyPDF uses AI (Gemini) + OCR + human review to make redaction fast but safe:

Auto-detects sensitive info based on document context (names, addresses, IDs, etc.)

Full control to accept, reject, or add redactions

Works on scanned PDFs (OCR with Tesseract)

Secure & GDPR-compliant (AES-256, EU storage, one-click deletion)

Irreversible blackouts + metadata removal

Audit logs (CSV export for compliance)

Try it here: www.redactmypdf.com

Thanks!

Nice use of AI. My only concern with tools for uploading sensitive information is trust. I trust big tech companies like Google and Microsoft with my documents, emails, and even private chats, but can I trust individuals? Even if the tech you're using looks safe, trust is the billion-dollar question, one that even Dropbox had to fight hard to earn.

Good point. This is how we started Tygra (https://tygra.ai/): as an online solution with a web app. But due to privacy concerns in industries like finance, legal, and healthcare, we pivoted to an offline solution with a desktop app. Today, Tygra is a privacy-first AI document processing tool that helps companies parse and validate documents automatically — 100% locally and privately.
