I wonder if / when we talk about this as far as coastal areas in the US that are particularly at risk as far as natural disasters go.

US will have its head in the sand for as long as possible, and will spend its energy on seawalls etc, so long as the area is moderately wealthy or politically connected. The others, well, in the society of 1968-1990 or so might be assisted, in modern times will just lose everything. Sorry for the pessimism. Convince me otherwise.
