The image confuses me. It shows it's path of travel with - where it's going in blue and where it's been in yellow. Basically everywhere between 50N and 45S.
The craft is currently indicated just E of Australia. Past what planet it's going to impact, I'm not clear what info we're getting here.

I had the same thought.
I’m assuming it’s because the prediction window is still quite large, at +/-16 hours, so if it’s orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes, that’s full 20 orbits of uncertainty. I would guess the graphic becomes more useful once that window starts to narrow significantly.
