A long time ago, I had an uber driver claim I "soiled" the back seat- this was on a business trip from the airport to a client. They submitted a picture of a stained back seat - I had sat in the front (this was back when people did that). I fought with uber via email for a few hours and they reversed the charges. No way that would happen now, I expect they wouldn't even have a real person interact with you and just tell you to f-off given how horrible they treat customers. But anyway, this sort of fraud it not AI specific.

See also that story about the guy who dressed like a bear and ruined his car then tried to claim insurance.

Soon we're going to see AirBnB employ third parties to do the post-residence checkdown, which in turn will lead to a new class of gig economy, and then the emergence of people amenable to being paid off by {owner, renter} to dismiss or magnify the problems...

I avoid Airbnb like the plague after their own "we're in charge here, sorry" with me.
