Omitted from the article is that Edge's initial load time comes from having it run at all times, prelaunched as a background app.

Using AutoRuns, I disable 6-10 points (1x-2x runonce, 2+ services, 4 sched tasks, 1-2BHO) to keep Edge from consuming resources without user consent.
