Note this is just a simulation.

Physicists are looking at laser driven plasma 'wakefield' acceleration as an alternative to colliders for the next generation of super large colliders to save on space and cost on pre-injection beam preparation.

High energy protonic rifle? We already have extraordinarily high energy lasers in a handheld format.

If a stream of bosons can do that much damage, I wonder what a stream of hadrons can do!
