Here's hoping someone can actually reach out to Microsoft on this, because I have no idea how to actually get their attention.

JAWS has worked around this. NVDA have not yet, and Microsoft's own Narrator is broken by these changes.

In short, the start menu sometimes works with a screenreader. Sometimes it can crash the screenreader. Sometimes it goes silent, sometimes it freezes. Dependable behaviour has vanished.
