I don’t know what the solution is exactly — I sort of romanticize an old school hard core like boarding school education with strict headmasters and oak paneled walls.

I also wonder what’s the point of an education (such as mine) that just throws insult after injury year after year of low grades and “you’re just not reaching your full potential.”

The alternative of making a person feel better while failing to prepare then for their lives and careers isn’t great. I don’t want to hire a person who “knows Geometry” but can’t apply it in their day to day job in a timely fashion.
