Tried asking GPT-5 to calculate: 356181.267*(12+572)/2-6752

First reply used reasoning mode and got it wrong. Only after I said “use external calculator” did it manage to use Python code to get the right answer.

Why doesn't it automatically switch to the calculator for basic math now in late 2025? Design trade-off, or something else?
