What’s the probability that Meta distributed CSAM under this scheme? Will anyone be held accountable for that, if it happened?

If it was only strike 3 holdings material, zero percent likely.

> Strike 3 Holdings, LLC is a pornographic film holding company. They hold the copyrights to adult films under the brand names Blacked, Tushy, Vixen, and others. They are looking to prosecute claims for copyright infringement for their works being shared illegally via P2P file-sharing programs.

You can check copyright.gov for a list of copyrights they hold. https://publicrecords.copyright.gov/search?page_number=1&que...

However if Meta branched out into other adult material then its possible.

It seems pretty unlikely to me they would stop at one production studio! The lawsuit alleges a lower bound on their porn pirating activities, of course, not an upper bound.

Hi, I'm an American citizen. No, our government does not seriously persecute such violations. Especially when the prosecution is poorer than the defense.

It's kinda tricky now that your president is most likely also involved with that sort of stuff..

This doesn't even pass a simple logic test... if there were evidence of this, it's pretty obvious the Biden DOJ would have used it. They literally threw everything the possibly could at Trump.

If the Biden DOJ (or anyone else) provided such evidence (not just G-rated photos of social events) in court, most of even ardent Trump supporters would have dropped their support.

saubeidl · 19h ago
Then they'd have to throw their buddy Clinton under the bus as well. The rot goes deep. Both sides are complicit.
tracker1 · 19h ago
No they wouldn't, you only have to look at the Ghislaine Maxwell trial and conviction to know that isn't true.
saubeidl · 19h ago
I don't think you understand what I mean when I say both sides are complicit. Democrats are nothing more than controlled opposition, serving the same oligarch masters.

A friendly face to the same capitalist power structure, there to provide the illusion of choice.

Why would they throw their fellow oligarch puppet under the bus?

tracker1 · 17h ago
My point is, they could very easily isolate just enough evidence to convict Trump as they did with Maxwell. If they actually had any.
saubeidl · 17h ago
My point is they're on the same team and all the squabbling between parties is just theater to distract from the lack of real choice.

You mean from the evidence that was collected during Trumps first term?

likely not CSAM from strike 3 holdings, but just as problematic is a concern for possible provision of pr0nz to minors.

"Lawsuit: Meta may have seeded porn to minors while hiding piracy for AI training."

nomel · 20h ago
Every search engine and porn hosting site that exists has exposed porn to minors. The only solution is to have verified access to internet sessions, via authoritarian government policies and hardware.
