Layoffs aren’t unique to tech. Look at the automotive industry, there was a time when automation gutted entire factories, and people thought it was the end of car manufacturing jobs altogether.

But over time, it rebounded. The workforce evolved, roles shifted, and what came out the other side was a leaner, more advanced, more global industry. We lost some legacy positions, but we gained robotics engineers, software-integrated manufacturing, and smarter supply chains.

Tech is going through the same kind of reset. Layoffs suck, no question, but disruption isn’t always destruction. Sometimes it’s the painful phase before reinvention.

Vehicle manf gained at most a tenth as many positions as were lost. Please stop with the BS.
