My mind went to a different order but virtually identical reasoning:
“Customer” focus - selecting a worthwhile problem, however you define that personally.
Curious - natural curiosity provides the energy to solve the problem.
Collaborative - the confidence to acknowledge what you don’t know, and desire/ability to seek out experts to help get to the best outcome.
This all comes back to a bigger tendency as organisations mature - they tend towards hiring for the role rather the person, in my experience because the company/product/etc becomes more defined over time. But really, there’s often room for different types to varying degrees, just a question of being thoughtful, and I like how this post is basically calling out thoughtful organisational design.
