I’ve been working on a side project called CogniSelect (https://www.cogniselect.com/), and I’m excited to share it with you! It’s a tool that lets you run LLMs locally in your browser, with a focus on keeping your data private and making it dead simple for anyone to use—no PhD required. It's completely free, so you can try it out without any hassle.
The idea came from wanting an AI I could use without my data pinging servers in who-knows-where (unlike ChatGPT, which can send stuff to servers in the US, EMEA, or beyond). With CogniSelect, everything stays on your device. Once you download a model, it’s cached in your browser, and you can use it offline, as much as you want, no limits. I’ve got a demo integrated on the site so you can play around with it.
Here’s the quick rundown (from the FAQ):
Privacy first: No data leaves your device, ever. Full stop.
No usage caps: Download once, use forever—online or off.
Built for mortals: I designed it to be easy for non-techies, not just coders.
Custom models: There’s an enterprise plan if you want to fine-tune models (just reach out).
Free to start: The basic tier costs nothing, so you can test it out.
I’m curious what you all think! If you try the demo, let me know how it goes or if it breaks (hope not lol). Any feedback or ideas for making it better would be awesome.
