I sure wish we(humanity) could have progressed further with fusion technology before the AI craze came long. Now we're going to be locked into fission(and it's externalities) for long time.

"Nuclear made up close to 5% of China's power generation in 2024 and is expected to rise to 10% by 2040". That is the stat that surprised me. On balance, I understand that nuclear is environmentally much cleaner than coal, correct? If 95% of power in China is coal (with some hydro/solar/wind) then perhaps the more nuclear, the better.
