For me it really taints the sporting event experience.

Some truck company advertises at me, maybe I shouldn't buy a truck, but if I give them my money there's a fair exchange and I get a truck.

Gambling companies just want suckers with poor impulse control, and they provide nothing positive in return.

The insane amount of advertising in general is about 75% of the reason that I dislike sporting events (even from when I was a kid) and don't attend or watch them.

More seriously... this shows just how insanely profitable online gambling is. Sports programming is generally the most expensive advertising to buy.
