The strange thing about it was that even if IBM wasn't that big in in valuation, it was huge in employment and just having a footprint over many different cities all over the country The world and places like Binghamton people still feel betrayed that IBM had this huge presence and they just up and left, often leaving a toxic waste site behind. From janitors to programmers and salespeople and forklift drivers I personally know 10+ people who worked for IBM in the triple cities.
