I wonder why his sentence is so short given the amount stolen?

My guess is the judge saw that the cloud hosting companies held some responsibility for not cutting off his services sooner when it became apparent he was not going to pay. Why did the cloud providers allow this guy to rack up such a large unpaid bill before going to the feds? Doesn't make much sense to allow someone to just run up a huge tab and not cut him off.
