This is absolute genius. The idea that, biologically, if you're in the process of being displaced out into eventual oblivion, Australian Aborigines or American Indians style, plainly evidenced by the same understanding of maths and quality of eyesight of an eight year old, you might actually put up any even faint form of resistance, as they did? Adding an over-under on this one, since I think readership is disproportionately US coastal - I bet with absolutely certainly that this post ends up with a negative total. I further bet that, with slightly less certainty, it does so without comment.
Always remember to take a big sniff after you poop, US coastals. It certainly is the best thing a human can smell for sure!

Research article, (2024). The Abstract looks considerably more restrained than the title. And the Intro section yet more cautious. It's even noted that - in the US - liberal individuals seemed to have more children until 1990. Plus other complexities.
To the Limitations, I'd add that the study covers a very small slice of time. But my perspective on the subject is from studying history. And anticipating hot comments, from folks caught up in the current culture wars.
