are you assuming that a magic bullet is possible for AD?

That is a huge assumption.

Read up on the history of "magic bullet" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_bullet_(medicine)

I've worked for two huge pharmas and a couple small ones. Over a decade total, early to late development. I've also read a half dozen books by MDs on the subject of AD.

The amyloid hypothesis, even if true, accounts for a very small percentage. So you may be correct about amyloid. Read the bio of the man Alzheimer, and his work. But then, also read about vascular and other dementias.

AD is a billing code for the medical/insurance industries. It's not a molecular diagnosis.

I wish I could explain myself fully here, but some background is required ... not about to write a thesis on a Sunday afternoon ;-) but if you're interested I'll check back here later. Anyone with passion on this subject is worthy of a discussion.

Take care
