You can disable that, set browser.ml.enable to False on about:config

It is kinda stupid, but I have to assume this feature is based on user feedback (just not yours or mine). I am glad though to see a browser building features leveraging local ml, in a way that seems privacy-conscious. Hopefully they’ll find some good use cases, or plugin authors do - having the “infra” available.

There's so much that already has to be disabled there, and more keeps getting added, that it's really become a discouragement to upgrading for me.

I wonder how efficient this is. Would I notice my battery use go up if I were shuffling tabs around frequently?
