Is this blatant corruption by Tim Cook?

If he had presented Trump with a custom iPhone or MacBook made of gold, I might have ignored it. I’m not sure that Tim should be running the world’s most important computer company.

This is not corruption, this is tribute to the Great Kahn.

Tim Cook has been forced to move operations from China to India and now to the US, each decision economically unjustifiable and now to great loss to Apple's bottom line. People may not realise it, but this is the state reasserting control over the capitalists. Trump is the first US President to actually try and do this. Not dissimilar to Xi Jinping in 2020 incidentally.

Khan the Mongol, not Kahn the neighbors of Hank and Peggy Hill, I assume. This just standard corporate sucking-up with a little swag. A bit more than a T-shirt but not worthy of even five seconds of consideration.

Worry instead about the hidden corruption that allows politicians to gain several orders of magnitude more wealth from insider stock trading tips.
