Show HN: OrcaCam – A Flappy Bird-style game celebrating Cambridge innovation

Hello HN. I built OrcaCam, a Flappy Bird style game where you control an orca and dodge columns while learning surprising facts about innovations that came out of Cambridge, UK (DNA, IVF, the webcam etc). The top score is visible in a shopping center in Cambridge City center for the next few months.

I’m using pure JS (ES5), no frameworks. It’s a fully offline-capable PWA, using a service worker. I’ve not written a game in years, so was a fun way to learn what’s possible on the web today using the latest standards. The hardest part was a consistent level of gameplay on different resolutions.
