Between US-based and Middle-East-based pushers of oil, it's clear that as long as the current party is in power, EVs are highly disfavored.

There is no real thought for how to support US manufacturing, other than to maybe take it back to the Model T where the steel was refined from local ore at the Ford plant.

Trump is intentionally weakening all of the US, while everyone reporting on the activities seems to be credulous that he's even attempting what he's saying he's trying to do. He's a marvelous con man.
