I assume this is astroturfing. Why pay for a 2-minute ad slot when you can just get people to watch it on YouTube for free?
As others have pointed out, the "banned in the UK" bit is editorializing -- nothing in the video itself claims this.

I see zero indication that this is banned in the UK (by whom?) so I'll just dismiss that as click bait. Beyond that, though, how is crypto supposed to fix all of this? Is the implication that the common people will all get rich on crypto?
I'll take crypto seriously when I see a single ad for it that doesn't position it as a get rich quick scheme.

The Coinbase CEO was claiming they werent allowed to run it in the UK however maybe it was a"soft ban" as in the TV channels were self-censoring.

This is really bizarre, the decline of western quality life is caused by capitalism and wealth inequality. Coinbase is a massive Silicon Valley capitalist company.
