Show HN: SuppScanr – Search supplements, build stacks, check interactions
I’m a software engineer who got tired of jumping between Reddit, Examine, random blogs, and drug info sheets just to answer basic questions like:
“Is it safe to take ashwagandha with Wellbutrin?”
“What’s the optimal dose of creatine really?”
“What stack actually makes sense for cutting vs bulking?”
So I built SuppScanr (https://suppscanr.com) — a free tool that lets you:
Search supplements — See uses, optimal doses, cycling guidance, timing, and warnings in one clean page. Build a supplement stack — Answer a few questions and get curated “Good / Better / Best” stacks based on your health goals. Check interactions — Paste in any combination of supplements and/or medications, and get real-time warnings or green lights.
It’s ideal for lifters, longevity folks, neurotropic explorers, or anyone optimizing their stack without risking health.
Built with: VueJS + Node + Postgres, and integrated with real-time interaction databases and LLM.
Still improving daily (more ingredients, better personalization, exportable stack reports, etc.), but would love feedback from the HN crowd.
Let me know what sucks, what’s broken, or what feature you’d want next.
Cheers!
