They've ruined search. Recommendations are often irrelevant. The prospect of being prompted to show government issued ID or submit to a facial scan to access content I'm referred to by 3rd parties might be the final straw for me. It will further incentivize those third parties to upload the content elsewhere.

YouTube is the last Google service I still use. If I'm asked to verify my age, that would be intrusive enough for me to finally break free of the company completely. That would probably be a good thing.
