Why does this feel like it was written with AI? Who says "a deep reckoning with my own mental health"?
I'll assume good faith and treat it as if it's not AI: the lack of specifics make it difficult to glean anything from this article. To OP: I think if you shared personal stories rather than high-level platitudes this would be a more effective article.

Because AI love writing lists, love breaking things down into formulaic sections and tend to end their articles in a predictable way.

Thanks for sharing this. I did my own full time startup journey just as we had our 2nd child. I think i aged 10-15yrs in those 3yrs. The best (and worst) thing was there was nothing stopping me from doing more and more ambitious things, as you are often stopped at big companies. And I did it all, and the only things that stops you from bigger and bigger outcomes are: the clock, your own body's limits, the time you take away from relationships.

Any advice how to make it sustainable as soon to become father? I’m experimenting with one business idea atm. I want to bootstrap it. I have solid runway. I don’t want to return to job that is killing my soul. I wanted to give my self a couple of months of building my ideas. Then the news came, we’ll be parents :)

I had the same experience. The limiters come off when you go from a big company to a startup, and there are no longer any guard rails. It’s incredibly easy to let the feeling of accomplishment drive you to work more and more. It’s not sustainable, eventually you life will fall apart.

It’s hard for me tell whether this is a sincere article or just a marketing/growth hacking stunt.
