Is it socially unacceptable or mentally unhealthy to not have sex?

If you want to, and cannot then it’s a problem for you. But if you don’t want to, and don’t, then who cares?

Note that I am not talking about asexuality or gender identities, but simply a stoic preference to not have sex or engage in mating behaviors. But of course, one could decide to change that perspective when/if they want to have children.

Caveat: From the perspective of some statesman who wants to ensure cultural stability via propagation of like-minded individuals through generations, mating and children are important. But wanting to mate and bear/rear children is a private and personal affair from an individual’s perspective. I am not sure you can ever incentivize 100% of your population to produce children.
