I’m working on MapBuddy, an AI assistant that helps small, non-technical business owners create an optimized Google Business Profile (GBP). The goal is to make it easy for local businesses (e.g. plumbers, cafés, hairdressers) to get found online with a well-built profile—no marketing skills needed.
Right now I only have a landing page and a very early chatbot mockup. Before building further, I want to learn how to get early adopters, validate the idea, and understand how others have approached sales and outreach in the local/SMB space.
Have you successfully launched a tool for small/local businesses?
How did you find your first users or paying clients?
What strategies or channels worked best for reaching non-tech business owners?
