That's too shallow for me.

This idea encourages the line of thinking that replacing whoever made AI will solve the ethical problems with using this technology, which is a wrong way of approaching it.

It also encourages the idea of fixating on strange and whacky individuals, opening up the opportunity for dismissing any opposition to AI as a personal or political vendetta.

We can be much better than this, and instead focus on the real stakes.

The problems for AI are related to privacy, surveillance, abuse of markets, brainwashing. They probably can all be solved, and we should think of solving them instead of making simplistic observations about good and evil.
