1. I am very far from a Trump apologist, but... this isn't Trump "issuing a call". This is Trump recklessly, thoughtlessly, and carelessly shooting off his mouth in public. Don't take it (yet) as an intent, let alone a policy or a program. It's alarming that he would say such a thing, in public, and not know that that's completely unconstitutional, and either not know or not care that he's bound by the constitution. That's alarming enough. But it's not (yet) at the point where he's actually trying to do this.
2. He may in fact be serious. He may try to carry this out. If he does, that definitely falls into "impeachment" territory - not that this supine Congress will actually do anything. It also clearly falls into "unconstitutional" territory; I have a bit more hope for the Supreme Court to see reason.

Assume Congress doesn’t impeach. Assume the Supreme Court allows it. What next?
